Crkva Svetog Marka nalazi se u naselju Gornje Stative, na brdu iznad rijeke Dobre. O vremenu izgradnje malo se zna, ali smatra se da je nastala u srednjem vijeku, sa kasnije nadozidanim brodom.
Nedaleko od crkve nalazi se mjesno groblje, ispod kojeg je 2001. godine izgrađen tunel koji m prolazi trasa autoceste A1, a nazvan je Tunel Sveti Marko, kao i crkva. Na tom dijelu autoceste često su se događale prometne nesreće, pa se među mještanima, a i u nekim medijima raširilo vjerovanje da je tunel uklet. Stručnjaci tvrde da do nesreća dolazi zbog konfiguracije terena, posljedica čega je pojačano vlaženje ceste na ulazu u tunel.

St. Mark's Church is located in the village of Gornje Stative on a hill above the Dobra river. There is not much known about construction time, but it is believed to have been in the Middle Ages, but the nave that was built much later.
Not far from the church there is a local cemetery under which a tunnel crossing the A1 highway was built in 2001, and it was named the Saint Marko Tunnel as well as the church. On this part of the motorway, traffic accidents often occurred, so among the locals and some media there was a belief that the tunnel was cursed. Experts claim that the accident is due to the configuration of the terrain, the consequence of which is the moistening of the road at the entrance of the tunnel.
