Geocache Description:

Through an almost unbelievable coincidence, mere days after a mysterious letter in a bottle showed up near Geocaching HQ, a letter in a disappointingly empty rum bottle showed up near LANMonkey Studios.

Here's the letter we found after thoroughly checking the bottle for rum.

The Letter from Captain Geo. C. Asher esq.

Seemed legit to us, so we thought we would help out the Metro Vancouver Geocachers by hosting an event to help each and every one of you break the Pirate's Treasure Curse.

Based on our mad Googling skills we have figured out the following important information to know if you want to see what black-hearted Sea-Monkey shennanigans are afoot.

Meet at the coordinates given above in the mysterious letter at 6:30pm on Saturday July 15th, 2017. We will be there for a minimum of 45 minutes or until the local constabulary moves us along.

If you park or transit to the New West Quay you will be a short walk down the plank(s) from the meeting place.

Be sure to practice your piratish accents, and perhaps even be brave enough to show up in your best pirate garb in order to secure yourself a little booty (by which we mean prize, thank-you very much) in the "Most Likely to be Keel Hauled by Captain Asher" contest.

We can't guarantee the curse will be broken, but we can guarantee you'll earn the first of this summer's Pirate Adventure souvenirs.
