Geocache Description:

The Prairie Peoples Trail is a hiking/biking trail on the Prairie Band of Potawatomi Nation Reservation in southern Jackson county. The Prairie Band is part of the larger Potawatomi tribe that was originally from the Great Lakes region. The reservation was established in the 1840s. The tribe has experienced a renaissance in recent years thanks in large part to the revenue generated by the casino located a few miles southeast of the trail.

Another interlude to help you with challenge caches while hiking the PPCT and signing logs for more challenge caches.
This is a quick two stage multi. The first stage is a virtual stage. You will gather some information at this stage that will give you the information to find the final stage.

STAGE ONE will take you the memorial for veterans of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation who have served valiantly in the United States military since WW I. You will need to look at all three markers that you will find here.

A: Subtract five from the number of Prairie Band Potawatomi soldiers (including an ex-POW) that have been Killed In Action.
B: The last number of the American Legion Post.
C: The number of branches of the service represented by symbols along the top of the memorial.
D: The first number of the American Legion Post.
E: Subtract two from the number of letters used in the Potawatomi Nation word that means "One Who Is Brave". This word contains hyphens and can be found on both the smaller left and right markers. Do not count the hyphens, only the letters.
F: The number of letters in the last name of the first Native Amercian killed in action in WW I.

Checksum for ABCDEF is 23.

STAGE TWO is located at N 39 19.ABC W 095 48.DEF.

You will put some steps on the step counter of your choice to get here from either of the listed parking coordinates.
If the cache name means something to you, than you are welcome.
If the cache name has no meaning to you, it does not matter.
"Don't worry, be happy."

Please use either of the listed parking coordinates. Please do NOT park along the side of the highway. It is a rural area, but the road does see more traffic than many rural highways and you will attract unnecessary muggle attention to the cache location. Please hike the trail and enjoy all the caches as it was intended.
