Geocache Description:

Earn the first of this summer’s Groundspeak souvenirs for your profile by attending an event on Saturday 15th or Sunday 16th July 2017, as Groundspeak HQ has come across a battered letter in a bottle with the infamous crest of Captain Mary Hyde on the shore nearby!! It appears there is one last treasure yet to be found……

With pirates in mind and with our sea shores so close, come and join fellow pirates – sorry – geocachers with a picnic and/or BBQ and a swim [or just a paddle] on Ness Beach at Shaldon on Sunday 16th July from 1pm to 3.30pm or longer if you wish! Any pirates [only friendly ones of course!] are welcome to come along….and there might be some treasure to find around the beach…..come along and find out! From the carpark entrance near the kiosk, turn right and walk through the tunnel down to Ness Beach!
