Whether you call it a "lamp post cache" or a "light pole cache," I love it and I can't stay away! I drive right up, hop out and - voila - cache in hand! Instant satisfaction!
But I know there's more to a geocacher's life than light poles. There are so many really cool caches placed a quick drive off the LIE by different COs that it can rejuvenate ones love for the creative cache. So, to help give me strength to take a (very brief) break from my LPC addiction, I put on some of my favorite music and built this cache. DIRECTIONS & DETAIL: The parking lot is on Northeast corner of Motor Parkway and LIE Expressway Drive North. If you're heading East on the LIE take exit 57 and make the left on Motor Parkway. If you're heading West on the LIE, take exit 57 and either enter the parking lot off Expressway Drive North or make the right at Motor Parkway. Park in the farthest North, then West spot that you can (note the parking coordinates on the cache page) and make our way into the woods. It's not a tough or long walk, but there is not a defined path. Leave the top of the log holder connected to the cache and screw of the base. Bring a pen. Thanks!
