En el sector de Matancilla, el Valle del Arcoiris impacta por su llamativa geología. En todo el sector afloran las rocas de los Intrusivos Hipabisales de Tonel, los cuales se emplazaron durante el Cretácico Superior y el Paleoceno. Estos Lamprófidos (espesartitas y kersantitas) entregan las hermosas tonalidades verdosas y blanquecinas al sector.
Este geocache está destinado para todos, en especial para la familia. Es muy sencillo de encontrar pero necesitarás romper las reglas.
Para llegar a él debes salir del sendero demarcado y dirigirte a las "rocas rojas". Busca bien y lo encontraras. Procura respetar la integridad y limpieza del lugar.
PD: Si estás en un tour, notifica y pide autorización al guía turístico. ( Para evitar problemas es mejor ir por cuenta propia)
In the area of Matancilla, the Rainbow Valley impacts for its breathtaking geology. In all the sector can be observed outcrops of the hypabyssal intrusive rocks of Tonel, which were placed during the Upper Cretaceous and the Paleocene. These lamprophyres (spessartite and kersantites) gives the beautiful greenish and whitish hues to the landscape.
This geocache is intended for all, especially for the family. It is very easy to find but you will need to break the rules.
To get to it you must exit the marked walking trail and you must go to "red rocks". Search well and you will find it. Try to respect the integrity and cleanliness of the place.
