Geocache Description:

This series of caches is located on a pleasant walking loop between Poolsbrook and the Markham Vale reclamation site. The caches are placed just off the paths, with the permission of Chesterfield Council and Derbyshire Council. For details about the themes, bonus cache and history see the longer description on the first cache in the Loop: R.E.C.L.A.I.M. - 5, 6, 7, 8.

The R.E.C.L.A.I.M. series is a collection of Revamped Everyday Containers Lurking Amidst Industrial Memories, as the caches are in an area littered with signs of old railway links, mining and industrial areas, although this has now been flattened as part of the reclamation and you can see huge new buildings being created.

After crossing over the railway line stones, there is an obvious path on the other side; turn right and follow this between the bushes and trees. This wider open area, now covered in bushes, was originally full of railway track which acted as sidings for the locomotives to park up at. After a few minutes you will come across a small ruined brick building/shed on the right hand side of the path with the roof collapsed in. DO NOT venture into this building, for safety reasons I have NOT placed the cache within this structure.

The cache is actually situated on the opposite side of the path from this demolished structure, about 4 or 5 metres from the path. There is a slight opening between the trees and you can just about make out the 2 new small lakes infront of you. In the background is the huge new warehouse being built at the time this cache series has been placed. The outer cache is bigger than hand-sized, but the inner container is only a nano tube so you'll need to write small with your own pen. Please replace the cache back with the 'opening' facing down, and the container disguised under its big brothers.

After finding the cache continue walking along the main path the way you were going.

Bonus Cache Music Question:
This song of Pink Floyd was written in 3 parts, the most well known lyrics being from part 2 which was their only UK number 1 single, singing a protest against strict UK boarding schools. The album cover for this one was quite plain compared to many of theirs, with a black and white wall drawing. Another of their iconic yet simple album covers for 'Dark Side Of The Moon' had what lighting effect as the design?

  • A laser projection of the band onto a brick wall (D=1)
  • The Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) in the sky (D=2)
  • A large golden sunset on the horizon out at sea (D=3)
  • A light beam split into rainbow colours by a prism(D=4)

First To Find honours:
Special mention goes to DrunkNinjaHippo for building a FTF name for themselves with this cache.
