Geocache Description:

This cache was placed with permission of the Huntingdon County Historical Society.

As always, be respectful of the church and the cemetery.

The old stone church in Manor Hill, Barree Township, Huntingdon County was built of native field stone in 1825 to house the existing Presbyterian congregation and is the oldest Presbyterian Church within the Huntingdon Presbytery, which includes seven counties (Bedford, Blair, Centre, Clearfield Huntingdon, Mifflin and Juniata).  By the time J. Simpson Africa wrote his "History of Huntingdon and Blair Counties" in 1883 services were no longer being held in the church on a regular basis.

The title for the church was transferred to the Huntingdon County Historical Society May 6, 1970 and is available for special event use.

Peek in the windows and step back in time.

Please, no night caching.
