The E.N. Jenckes Store is a turn of the century old general store. It is now the home of the Douglas Historical Society, but in its heyday, it was the place to be for all your household (and farming) purchases. The Jenckes family ran the store and lived on the second floor. You can visit the museum on Saturdays in the summer during the Douglas Farmer's Market and at special events. It is truly a living timecapsule of life almost 200 years ago, complete with a front porch and white picket fence. You will find the cache under a small stack of rocks.
