Voici une modeste cache située dans le département de l'Isère, entre les communes de Parmilieu (sur le Plateau de Crémieu) et celle de Vertieu (au pied du Plateau, et commune la plus au nord du département). Elle est localisée sur une petite route, appelée route de Serverin, reliant les deux villages.
Depuis ce belvédère, vous pourrez admirer la commune de Vertieu avec notamment ses deux châteaux. Juste derrière, vous verrez le Rhône qui marque la frontière entre les départements de l'Ain et de l'Isère. Derrière le Rhône, dans le département de l'Ain, vous pourrez voir les communes de Saint-Sorlin-en-Bugey (juste au pied du Bugey, avec quelques vignobles visibles), ainsi que plus à gauche Lagnieu.
Pour accéder à la cache, le plus simple est de venir en voiture depuis Parmilieu puis d'accéder à la route du Serverin. Sur cette route, ne vous inquiétez pas si vous voyez "route barrée". Il faut aller jusqu'au bout de la route, près de la cache, où vous pourrez vous garer et admirer le point de vue.
Vous pouvez faire de même en vélo ou à pied, sachant qu'il y a également une petite route reliant le belvédère à Vertieu. Attention : cette petite route (inaccessible aux véhicules) est dangereuse car très pentue, prudence !!!
This is a modest cache located in the department of Isère, between the communes of Parmilieu (on the Plateau of Crémieu) and Vertieu (at the foot of the Plateau, and the northernmost commune of the department). It is located on a small road, called Serverin Road, connecting the two villages.
From this belvedere, you can admire the town of Vertieu with its two castles. Just behind, you will see the Rhône River which marks the border between the departments of Ain and Isère. Behind the Rhone, in the department of Ain, you can see the communes of Saint-Sorlin-en-Bugey (just at the foot of the Bugey, with some visible vineyards), as well as left Lagnieu.
To access the cache, the easiest way is to come by car from Parmilieu, then to access the road of the Serverin. On this road, do not worry if you see "route barrée" (road closed). You have to go to the end of the road, near the cache, where you can park and admire the view.
You can do the same by bike or on foot, knowing that there is also a small road linking the belvedere to Vertieu. Warning: this small road (inaccessible to vehicles) is dangerous because very steep, be careful !!!
