White Island Traditional Cache

White Island so called because of the covering of white wild garlic flowers in spring,This lovely island  has a circular walk which takes about 20 minutes.  Always take some extra time here to  enjoy this idyllic place .Easy acess, park at rear entrance to Clonbur Cemetery and follow the signs for White Island. You may encounter groups of young students in the summertime as this Island is used by Petersburg Outdoor Education Centre for outdoor activities.  My suggestion is you could make a nice day of geocaching in the area by finding this cache with 3 others in the area namely Clonbur Village ,Lough Coolin   and Seanbothair ( old road).     Clonbur village has nice places to eat and relax and friendly natives,Please replace this cache in the exact position you found it and I hope you will enjoy finding this one .                                                                                                  Mount Gable Cache is local to here also but that may be for another day as  its a  bit of a hike.
