GBTE in Odense Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

RaduC: Thank you all for your visits and logs. I hope you enjoyed it.

It was a difficult cache, and not many were able to solve it.
Therefore I am closing it for something more accessible.

Geocache Description:

GBTE ODENSE

This cache is not at the given coordinates. They are just the coordinates of my old neighborhood. Since I lived here, both GBTE2014 and GBTE2017 started from here...

Last year I cycled across a few European countries, and found a few caches on my way... Maybe you saw the map on Project-GC.com and therefore you know more details on the matter.

If you haven't followed my trip from the start, maybe you read about GBTE in the article written in November on the Geocaching Blog or saw it mentioned in the recent 2017 flashback. It's not too late now to check the blog post!

Or maybe you even own one of GBTE's geocoins... it might prove useful at some point

This cache is meant to be difficult!

What is GBTE?

GBTE (Geocaching Bicycle Touring Europe) was my big adventure for the second half of 2017. Cycling and geocaching through Denmark - Germany - Netherlands – Belgium – France – UK – Andorra – Monaco – Spain – Italy – San Marino – Slovenia – Croatia – Serbia – Bulgaria and Romania. It was a trip of over 9000 km in total, during four and a half months.

I planned my route according to the caches, not the other way around: starting with T5 climbing caches, virtual and webcam, old caches, those with many FP and some of the ones nominated for Geocache Of The Week. Basically, all the special ones, you know them!

Also, because I love the social part of geocaching, I hosted events all over along the route! I met extraordinary people, several times locals joined me on geocache hunts after the events, or offered me accomodation or food. Yes, I had the pleasure to meet awesome people!

My tour ended in Romania, on November 15th, but the story is not yet completed! I am returning to Denmark, with a small stop in Malmo...and then END it all where the GBTE Bike originated: at my sponsor SICATECH A/S.

You are more than welcome to check out the official facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/GBTE2017/ and you can keep an eye on all my updates :)
