This virtual cache is located off 537 and Juliustown Jobstown Rd. in Springfield Twp.! Seems the path from the road is no longer easy to get down to the trolley cars, so please go thru the EMS building fence to get to this treasure!!
Thats right!! This is another "Weird New Jersey" treasure in my own backyard, for you to come and enjoy!! It is the "Trolley Valhalla". Its a bunch (4-5) old train trolley cars. You will make a right off of 537 onto Juliustown Jobstown Rd. You will immediatly see a piece of property on your left, that is marked EMS 7 this is the new home (soon) for Springfields EMS squad. Follow to the end of the gate around the property and you will see a car trail on your left. Turn into the trail follow it! Enjoy the view of old transportation back there on the many car trails. The following is a blurb from "Weird New Jersey" magazine. " Trolley Valhalla was a trolley car museum established in Tansboro, NJ. in the 1960's. How long they were there, how successful they were, and the circumstances of their move to Jobstown, I know nothing about. I do know that they moved their equipment to this site in Jobstown, immediatly adjacent to the recently abandoned Pennsylvania Railroad Kinkora Branch." The abandoned Pennsylvania Railroad Kinkora Branch is the new home for the Springfield Twp. Emergancy Squad.To log this as a find, please email me the 4 numbers off the second trolley you will come to on that certain car trail on the left side. Down further on the car trail at the end of it (100 ft) you'll see a blue pole look to your left u will see another trolley on its side and one up in front of it on what use to be tracks with white chairs in it to sit on. Take a look around neat stuff you would have never of thought was back there while driving down the road!
