Our minicachers' Granddad was chairman of Freshwater Parish Council for 11 years. He was involved in ensuring the piece of land known as Granny's Meade remained property of the council, so that the area could continue to be used recreationally. It is a lovely meadow - perfect for stopping and taking a moment to admire the countryside, and perhaps listen to the crickets. His memorial bench is near the cache site.
Particularly vertically challenged cachers may need something to stand on.
