Ne ledynai jį čionai atvilko, o melioratoriai, kuomet aplinkines pievas ir raistus sausino. Gal ir gerai, nes dabar jo visas kūnas (tūris) virš žemės iškilęs ir gerai matomas.
Pagal plotį tai ketvirtas riedulys rajone ir 15 - tas - šalyje.
