BAC1 - Birth Canal Traditional Cache

Congratulations to The Gator Bait Four...
...for FTF!!!!

This cache is at the the beginning of the Brunswick-Altamaha Canal. Goods would arrive here via the Turtle River to travel the 12 mile canal to be “delivered”(pun intended) to the Altamaha River.

Watch out for alligators, snakes and pretty much anything that can eat you, including ticks. Bug spray is always a plus. You can park along the canal. Cover the cache with supplied natural covering.

The Brunswick-Altamaha Canal route began at Academy Creek (southern end) and continued all the way north and and connected to Six Mile Creek, a branch of the Altamaha. We have placed Birth Canal at the southernmost man-made portion of the canal.

Since we placed the cache near the starting point we rightfully named it Birth Canal! The canal connected to Academy Creek just south of placement of this cache.
