Geocache Description:

A simple 'pee pot' cache, placed just off a local footpath.

The old 'Rudyard' railway line continues to be of use to walkers and cyclists, despite losing its reason for existence, many years ago.  Peep through the trees to the East and see that Leek cares for its sportsmen and women - the superb playing fields and one of two golf courses that Leek boasts.

Maiden?  That'll be the tree you're looking for - a Silver Birch - known colloquially as 'The Maiden of the Forest'.  You're looking for an older, 'different' specimen, just 'off-piste'.

The coordinates were difficult to confirm - poor satellite 'lock' of course.  Even if a bit 'off', the tree should be obvious, certainly within 3m of the coords.
