[NOR] Midnattsolberget ligger på Vardhaugen helt nord på Gibostad. Herfra har du en helt enestående utsikt til midnattsola om sommeren. Berget ligger bare 100 meter fra mitt barndomshjem, og foreldrene mine har gått mange kveldsturer opp hit sammen.
Om du har mulighet vil jeg absolutt anbefale å gå opp hit på en sommernatt med skyfri himmel. Til venstre for midnattsola kan man se toppen av Astritind stikke opp som en liten pyramide bak Blåheia.
Cachen ligger i et berg omtrent 30 meter unna Midnattsolberget -- Midnattsolberget er merket med et veipunkt. Det er god plass til parkering ved stistart.
[ENG] The berg of the midnight sun lies at Vardhaugen in the northernmost part of Gibostad. From here you have an outstanding view to the north, and on nice summer days you get a stunning view of the midnight sun. The place lies only 100 meters from my childhood home, and my parents have gone for many walks here together.
If you have the opportunity to visit on a clear summer night, I would absolutely recommend it. To the left of the midnight sun you can see the peak of Astritind rise above Blåheia, looking like a pyramid.
The cache is placed in a berg about 30 meters from Midnattsolberget. Midnattsolberget is marked with a waypoint. There is plenty of parking space by the trailhead.
