Hidden in a "fee free tree" accessible during open parking-gate and open business hours Monday – Saturday 10:00am-4:00pm & Sunday 11:00am-4:00pm.
This week's Nature Lab Campers learned forest measurements, compass reading, taking their paces, longitude and latitude, reading paper maps, making maps, treasure hiding/maps based on these skills, and now have placed a geocache!
This location, the Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium is a private, not for profit, environmental education organization including many rescued animals unable to be returned to the wild, trails, a musuem, etc. There is a cost for the nature center; cache is placed before pay area.
