By submitting a cache listing, you assure us that you have adequate permission to hide your cache in the selected location. If you have permission to place a cache on private property, indicate this on the cache listing for the benefit of the reviewer and those seeking the cache.

In the case of public property, permission can often be obtained from the agency or association that manages the land. In Maine, there are many such agencies and organizations that regulate geocaching on their managed land. As the cache owner you are responsible for determining who to contact to obtain permission.

Even if you are certain that geocaching is permitted on particular public property, ensure that you have followed any and all requirements established by the land owner or land management agency before placing the cache. There may be locations in which cache hides are inappropriate, even though not prohibited by local laws.

Geocache Description:

Eventually this trail is expected to be a portion of a Concord to Lake Sunapee biking trail.  This 1-mile section, as are most of the anticipated sections, follows an old railroad bed. That of course means a wide and level path. Good for walking, biking and horses.

The cache commemorates the beginning of this Hopkinton trail segment that starts at the intersection of Kryzaniak Rd. and Spring St. just outside of Contoocook village  There is a small parking space a short distance up Kryzaniak Rd. on the left side. Otherwise you can park at the Hopkinton town library lot on Houston St. and cross several athletic fields for more than a half a mile to reach the cache.  (There is another cache located on the library grounds: Name a good book by JMASCI.) My cache is small, bot not a micro, and you will need to have your own pen.

This one takes a bit of effort including getting a few feet off the ground and reaching.  Tall people will have it the easiest.  Use your geo-sense for this one, and it shouldn't be too hard to find. I can't wait until the bike trail is completed.  Congratulations to celestrial76 for quickly finding the cache the morning after it was published!
