Riverwalk Traditional Cache

Beware of a yellow jackets nest close to the ground!

DON'T FALL IN! Step carefully, but no climbing is involved in retrieving this cache. Take a riverfront walk in Irene Rinehart park and find a geocache along the way. Container is a former vitamin bottle covered with camouflage tape. I put a small pen inside, but I recommend you bring your own pen for this one.

It bears repeating: DON'T FALL IN! The terrain rating is 3 because of the proximity to the river. No climbing is required, but please be careful with your footing in searching for and retrieving this cache or you will get wet.

You will get within 25 m (75 feet) of the cache on the main trail.

It looks like there was a rope swing here in the past, although to my eye, the river is running a little fast for safe swimming. I know you are in suspense at wondering where the cache is. Hopefully a strand of an idea will occur before long. Just be careful of your footing; don't take a plunge into the water.

Right now (summertime) there is a nest of yellow jackets in a tree at ankle level at ground zero. Be very careful in finding and returning this cache.
