The Hive Queen Traditional Cache

This cache is on a small trail at the far end of Lompoc's Riverbend Park.  Bring a pen/pencil to sign the log, stealth skills if anyone is around, and your geo-senses.  Watch out for wildlife, people walking about, and poison plants (shouldn't be any PO around the cache site).  Please replace cache as found or properly conceal so it provides a fun and challenging hide for the next finder.

I recently read a couple of books from the "Ender's Game" book series after watching the movie "Ender's Game."  I loved the movie so I had to read a book or two as well.  There are many books included in the series, but there probably won't be a sequel to the movie. :-(.  The Ender's Game book and movie are about a boy who is raised in a futuristic world where children are raised as military leaders, in hopes of finding the savior that will help them beat their alien threats.  

The particular alien race in this initial story is an insect race, and same as a bee hive, the swarms of insect aliens are lead by queens.  Many of Ender's experiences center around telepathic communication between himself and a hive queen.  This cache is a tribute to an excellent movie/book and a brilliant story plot.  I hope you all enjoy it.  Happy Caching.
