Geocache Description:

The first 4 stages do not need to be removed from their hiding spots. Simply unscrew the bottom and leave the top attached to its holding spot. Please return the final to its original resting spot! Thanks for caching!

5 stage multichache outlining a few fun things to do in the area and ultimately bringing you to the 47th parallel line.

This is a 5 stage cache inspired by and co-owned by my son GCE_BoyZ (I will of course help with maintenence). While setting up this cache, he and I discovered that our family's home is on the 47th parallel... something I have never experienced while caching... So we asked our family if we could leave the final stage here for others to experience. Of course they were fine with the idea. The first few stages will point out two of the fun things to experience in Alborn Minnesota (where we grew up) and look for the Alborn-Pengilly Trail for more caches. The Alborn Tavern in front of stage 1 has great food so stop in and get a bite to eat if you wish! Stage 2 is the Alborn Sno-Devil's club, where snowmobile enthusiasts meet to ride the nearby trails. The 3rd stage will bring you to the base of one of the "hidden gems" of Alborn. A dirt road called Shipley, in which if you travel via car to stage 4 you can experience why it is referred to as "Ticklebelly Hill". Please don't speed as there are a few people that reside on this road. My son is a huge fan of this hill and the roller-coaster affect it has on his tummy. The final stage will bring you near the home we grew up in and the 47th parallel line. Keep an eye on the intersection at the stop sign ahead, do you see the giant pine tree growing on the corner? That tree was planted by the very first elementary class in the town of Alborn!

The 47th parallel is shared by Washington, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan (Keweenaw Peninsula), and Maine as well as Canada and part of France in the West. The East coordinates of the 47th parallel contain France, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Hungary, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, China, and Mongolia. Just think, somewhere on the opposite side of the Earth there may be a geocacher caching on the 47th parallel just like you. Enjoy the cache! Each stage has it's own level of difficulty so I have averaged the stars on both difficulty and terrain. Thanks again! Enjoy!

IF you need additional help finding one of the stages, please email the cache owner. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
