The largest living organism on earth is a 3.7 square mile honey fungus which you can see up close and personal at the base of the tree where this cache is hidden. Forest Service biologists made the discovery in 1998, when trying to find the cause of a massive die-off of trees in the Malheur National Forest. You can learn more about it by googling "honey fungus in Oregon" or "largest living organism".
Cache is just a short walk off a nice dirt road, and is in a common hiding spot. I left a traveler inside to entice you to come check it out. The drive will take longer than the hunt.
