Έχω ξεκινήσει το πλοίο από την Κωνσταντινούπολη προς το νησί της Ρόδου. Η θάλασσα ήταν ήρεμη και ο ήλιος να κτυπήσει κάτω στο δέρμα μου. Ξαφνικά ο ουρανός σκοτείνιασε. Ένα τεράστιο μαύρο πλάσμα πήδηξε έξω από τη θάλασσα και φαινόταν σαν να ήταν καταπίνουν τον ήλιο. Ήταν μια τεράστια φίδι. Έκανε καιρό στον ορίζοντα και έτσι έπεσε από τον ουρανό στη θάλασσα. Σε εκείνη την στιγμή, ένα χιλιόμετρο υψηλής παλιρροϊκό κύμα έλασης πάνω μου και μου και το πλοίο μου βύθισε. Έχω βυθίστηκε στο βυθό της θάλασσας. Κάτω από μένα, ο βυθός τριαντάφυλλο και μετά από λίγα δευτερόλεπτα, θα έσπασε μέσα από τη θάλασσα. Τέλος, θα μπορούσε να αναπνεύσει και πάλι. Πριν από μένα τεντωμένο ένα γιγάντιο βουνό και τη σύνοδο κορυφής του αφρώδη μάτια του τέρατος. Έχασα τις αισθήσεις μου.
Όταν ξύπνησα, ήμουν ξαπλωμένη σε ένα όμορφο κήπο ανάμεσα φοίνικες και ανθοφορία τους θάμνους. Ένιωσα σαν να είχα κοιμηθεί για εκατοντάδες χρόνια.
Πλησιέστερα ήταν μια μικρή ταβέρνα όπου ήμουν νοσηλευτική δίψα μου. Οι γέροι σε ένα γειτονικό τραπέζι μου είπε μια μυστηριώδη ιστορία της θαλάσσιο τέρας που δημιούργησε το νησί της Κως.
Ήταν όλα, αλλά ένα όνειρο?
I started with the ship from Bodrum in the direction of the island of Rhodes. The sea was calm and the sun burned on my skin. Suddenly the sky darkened. At that moment a mile-high tidal wave rolled over me and swallowed me and my ship. I sank to the bottom of the sea. Beneath me rose the sea floor and after a few seconds we broke the sea level. At last I could breathe again. In front of me stretched a giant mountain, and the monster's eyes sparkled over its tops. I lost consciousness.
When I awoke I lay in a beautiful garden between palm trees and flowering shrubs. I felt as if I had slept for hundreds of years.
Nearby there was a small tavern where I quenched my thirst. The old men at the next table told me a mysterious story of the sea monster that created the island of Kos.
Was not it all a dream?
Ich startete mit dem Schiff von Bodrum in Richtung Insel Rhodos. Das Meer war ruhig und die Sonne brannte auf meiner Haut. Plötzlich verdunkelte sich der Himmel. Ein riesiges schwarzes Wesen sprang aus dem Meer und es schien als wollte es die Sonne verschlingen. Es war eine riesige Schlange. Sie machte sich am Horizont lang und fiel so vom Himmel in das Meer. In diesem Moment rollte eine kilometerhohe Flutwelle auf mich zu und verschlang mich und mein Schiff. Ich sank auf den Meeresgrund. Unter mir erhob sich der Meeresboden und nach wenigen Sekunden durchbrach ich den Meeresspiegel. Endlich konnte ich wieder atmen. Vor mir erstreckte sich ein gigantisches Gebirge und über dessen Gipfel funkelnden die Augen des Monsters. Ich verlor das Bewusstsein.
Als ich erwachte, lag ich in einem wunderschönen Garten zwischen Palmen und blühenden Sträuchern. Ich fühlte mich, als hätte ich hunderte Jahre geschlafen.
In der Nähe stand eine kleine Taverne, wo ich meinen Durst stillte. Die alten Männer am benachbarten Tisch erzählten mir eine mysteriöse Geschichte vom Seeungeheuer, welches die Insel Kos erschuf.
War das alles doch kein Traum?
