I regret that I have some bad news regarding your Pacolet River Cache cache.

In bill H3794 signed by the governor on June 2, 2009, the South Carolina General Assembly prohibited geocaching on all wildlife management areas, heritage preserves, and all other lands owned by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources.

Please retrieve the physical cache at your earliest convenience. If it is not convenient for you to do so, please let me know and I may be able to have someone in the area remove it and arrange its return to you.

Geocache Description:

Moderate hike a little over 2 miles round trip. Located in the Pacolet Heritage Trust Preserve. Good Parking.

Please read the Kiosk at the trail head for a brief history of the preserve and a map of the trail. Contents are in a dark green Ammo container with a Geo Caching Decal. Thick foliage in Summer distorts the GPS signal a bit. Contains the usual trinkets. Please sign the book and take a photo. Good spot for a picnic by the old bridge. Very private. Very quiet. Recomend you take water and bug spray. Keep an eye out for the usual critters found in the wild. Allow for a little over an hour minimum. Take your time and enjoy the woods. Soap stone outcroppings are up from the bridge about .2 of mile on the right. Return the way you came in. Enjoy.
