Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series of eight caches named 'Nip Around Gnosall' hidden around the village of Gnosall local to where I live. This is a series which I have placed as part of my Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award, they do not need to be found in any particular order, and I hope you enjoy finding them as much as I have enjoyed researching and hiding my first geocaches! :)

About this cache:

The Gnosall boardwalk was opened in 2012 to provide access over Doley Brook between the allotments and the acres, a popular beauty spot in the centre of the village with a park and playing fields. The wetland area is full of wildlife and the boardwalk winds its way over pools where you can feed the ducks and onwards towards the park. In the summer of 2016 the boardwalk was targeted by arsonists, and 75 metres of the pathway had to be rebuilt after a large section was burned down. However donations and funds raised by the village school allowed the walkway to be rebuilt, now including two new dipping platforms in the centre of the site of biological importance.

The cache itself is a film canister hidden at the co-ordinates provided, the cache name and clue will help you narrow down the exact spot. The area can be popular on sunny days and with people walking their dogs, so be careful of muggles approaching silently as they enjoy their evening strolls!
