After the success of the first two, here we are again!
I'd like to hold an event where we bring our own TBs to show off / discover, but also pass on any we have collected with the hope of assisting them to make their goal.
This event, the third travel bug catch, will be held on Sunday 13 August 2017 in Airey Park, Homebush West (a short stroll from Homebush West train station), from 3pm to 4pm. Come one, come all, and I don't just mean travel bugs! All geocachers welcome, with or without TBs. It would be helpful if any travel bugs you did bring with you also had information attached to them about their goals / missions. For those of you who aren't aware, you can print an info sheet straight from the geocaching.com website by opening up the trackable's web page and then selecting 'print info sheet' over on the right hand side under the menu 'trackable options', it should be about the third option down, under the found it option and the watch it options.
The site is a park with a picnic table which I will try to secure however it may be beneficial to bring your own seating (a fold up chair or picnic blanket) and there is no kiosk or the like - if you'd like food or drinks, both the Flemington and Homebush shops are nearby. There is a children's playground nearby (although it's currrently closed for replacement of the equipment), and a grassy open space for them to run off their energy so they don't bug you (he he see what I did there?). The Cooks River cycleway also runs through this park. There is plenty of free parking both on The Crescent and Bates Street.
We will do an official photo at 3.30pm, and may even have a TB-related raffle of some kind (if I can get organised).
