La bataille contre la Maison Stark
Introduction
La Maison Stark dirigeait la vaste région connue sous le nom du Nord et du Val comme Roi du Nord depuis son siège de Winterfell. C'est de loin l'une des lignées les plus anciennes de la noblesse de Westeros, revendiquant une ligne de descendance qui remonte à plus de huit mille ans. Le chef de la maison est le Seigneur de Winterfell. Avant la conquête de Targaryen, les chefs de la Maison Stark ont dominé la région en tant que Rois du Nord. Ils sont l'une des quelques maisons nobles dont la devise familiale n'est pas une vanité ou une menace. Au lieu de cela, la devise de la Maison Stark est un avertissement, qui, peu importe les circonstances, sera toujours pertinent: "L'hiver vient".
Le roi Torrhen Stark était sur le trône au moment de la conquête de Targaryen et marcha avec son armée vers le sud pour les affronter. Il s'est rendu quand il a vu les dragons de Targaryens, sachant que les combats étaient futiles. Il a été nommé Seigneur Suzerain du Nord et a servi les Targaryens comme Gardien du Nord. Par la suite, Torrhen a été connu comme «le roi qui s'agenouille». Le Seigneur de Winterfell actuel, Seigneur Suzerain du Nord & Gardien du Nord est Eddard Stark.

The battle against House Stark
Introduction
House Stark rules over the vast region known as the North and the Vale as Kings in the North from their seat in Winterfell. It is by far one of the oldest lines of Westerosi nobility, claiming a line of descent stretching back over eight thousand years. The head of the house is the Lord of Winterfell. Before the Targaryen conquest, the leaders of House Stark ruled over the region as the Kings in the North. They are one of the few noble Houses whose family motto is not a boast or threat. Instead, the House Stark family motto is a warning, one that no matter the circumstances will always be relevant: "Winter is Coming".
King Torrhen Stark was on the throne at the time of the Targaryen conquest and marched his army south to face them. He surrendered when he saw the Targaryens' vast host and dragons, believing that fighting was futile. He was made Lord Paramount of the North and served the Targaryens as Warden of the North. Thereafter, Torrhen was known as "the king who knelt".
The current Lord of Winterfell, Lord Paramount of the North & Warden of the North is Eddard Stark.
