Bethlehem Cemetery, adjacent to Bethlehem Baptist Church, is well-maintained and inside a chain link fence. A church has been here for more than 100 years. According to local legend, the first burial at this site was a child of a family which was passing through, but that gravesite can no longer be identified. In 1887 W.M. and M.E. Reeder deeded ten and one-quarter acres to a group of trustees for a public burying ground.*
The cache is inside the fence along the western edge of the cemetery and is not on or even very close to any graves. There should be ample room to park on the road, but be careful of any nearby graves as you do so.
And as is typical in such situations, no cache hunting after dark or when a church service is in session.
Log only. If the cache needs attention, please let me know.
