Ukrainian Cuisine - Onions, Garlic and Dill Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

mairne: It is always very hard for me as a cache owner, to completely shut down a trail of geocaches. This one is particularly hard because it speakers to a predominant culture in the area, giving honour, and we used some our most creative containers to date, in placing out the trail. But
As the last seekers said, the trail has become a dump site; here’s what most recent geocachers said:
“Sadly, this is not a good trail anymore, not for us at least....no offense intended....there was SO MUCH TRASH and HOUSEHOLD STUFF dumped here, even though I did get out and check around and under the tree, it was too dangerous in the tall grass and all the garbage....people are so nasty ! No need to turn rural areas into personal dumping grounds! Disgusting!”

It is no longer safe to expect folks to go down this previously refreshing trail to search through someone else’s garbage. We are archiving the entire trail of caches.

Geocache Description:

You don't have to be Ukrainian to enjoy celebrating their culture. We recognize hard work, grit and determination and courage of of the settlers and their descendants around us, our neighbours and friends. They keep their culture alive through music and dancing, language and delicious cuisine. We highlight Ukrainian cuisine with these caches.

"Laskavo prosymo na nash stil! Smachnogo!" Essential ingredients to so many recipes of Ukrainian dishes are onions, garlic and dill. These provide delightful depth to the tastes enjoyed in so many dishes... also considered to be very necessary for excellent health.

This cache contains only a log, so bring your own writing tool.

Please realize this back lane which will be pleasant summer driving for most, will definitely not be a winter-time experience....
