Geocache Description:

There is a new trail cut in to Standard Lakes. This ain't it. I set out to plant a cache at the larger of the two lakes and started hiking in on the old trail, unfortunatly the old trail isn't there anymore and I was forced to turn back a mere 3 tenths of a mile from the lake. I did find a nice spot at two mouth creek that warranted a cache and this is it. There is a parking spot at the trail head which is at N48 41.918 / W116 45.593 and is about a two mile ride to the cache. The trail is an old road that is great for mountain bikes, motorbikes, 4wheelers, or hiking. When you get there you will find a beautiful camping spot next to a small waterfall cut through some large boulders and some nice pools, the largest of which is big enough for swimming. The pools are loaded with cutthroat, but check the regs for limited seasons and gear. The cache is now stocked with traditional items such as a camera case, watch, multi-use scissors, one of my sig insulator candles, etc.
