[IT] Lungo le coste pugliese ci sono delle vecchie torre di guardia. Guidando lungo la costa ne troverai le torri regolarmente, in diversi stati di conservazione. Alcune sembrano nuove, altre vengono usate come case, mentre altre non sono altro che un cumulo di macerie. Questa torre viene lentamente consumata dal mare perché il terreno su cui poggia sta cadendo nel mare.

[EN] I've been on this remote place more then 5 years ago, took a picture of this tower and posted it on Panoramio. At the time, there were few picture of Puglia and especially, not in this area. So for the longest time, my picture of the tower was one of my most viewed pictures. Now Panoramio is in about the same state as the tower, so I decided to go back once more to hide a cache and take some new pictures to see how much has changed over time.
[IT] 5 anni fa sono stato in questo posto remoto, ho fatto delle foto e le ho postate su Panoramio. A quel tempo non c'erano molte foto della Puglia e specialmente di questa zona. Per questo, per molto tempo, la mia foto della torre è stata una delle più viste foto mie. Adesso Panoramio si trova nello stesso stato della torre, quindi ho deciso di ritornare e nascondere un cache e fare altre foto per vedere come è cambiata la torre nel tempo.
[EN] It may take a few years, but I hope that the cache will survive long enough that the last listing will read something like "the tower has dropped into the sea and the cache is gone", after which the cache will be archived. We'll see what happens.
[IT] Forse ci vorranno alcuni anni, ma spero il cache duri abbastanza fino quando nel listing scriverò qualcosa tipo "la torre è caduta nel mare e il cache si è perso", dopodiché il cache verrà archiviato. Vedremmo cosa succederà.
[EN] There are different ways to get to the cache. If you come by car, I would recommend to take the road via the indicated way point. From there you can drive until 5 meters away from the cache, but the last bit of the road will be unpaved and a bit bumpy, but a regular car should have no problems getting there unless there has been a lot of rain in the last few days! In that case, you may need to park a bit sooner and walk a bit further. If you come by bicycle or hiking, there are several ways to access the site.
[IT] Al cache ci si può arrivare in diversi modi. Se venite in macchina, vi suggerisco di prendere la strada indicata dal waypoint. Da lì potete guidare fino a 5 metri dal cache, ma la parte finale della strada è sterrata ed accidentata, anche se non dovranno esserci dei problemi per una macchina normale, a meno che negli ultimi giorni non abbia piovuto. In quest'ultimo caso dovete parcheggiare prima e camminare un po' di più. Se invece venite in bici oppure fatte un'escursione, allora ci sino vari possibilità di arrivare.
[EN] The cache is located at the only corner that is left of the tower. You have to walk up the rubble a bit, but there is no need to really climb. The cache, lunch box sized, is about 3 mtr above ground level and hidden behind a few rocks. If you can't find it, have a look at the spoiler picture. Because this is a ruin, be careful and smart. Don't do anything too dangerous or stupid to hurt yourself or further destroy the centuries old tower.
[IT] Il cache si trova all'unico angolo della torre rimasto integro. Per trovarlo dovete camminare su per le macerie un po', ma non c'è bisogno di arrampicarsi. Il cache è di dimensioni normale e si trova a circa 3 metri dal suolo, nascosto dietro alcune rocce. Se non riuscite a trovarlo, guardate la foto spoiler. Siccome questa è una rovina, siate prudenti ed intelligenti. Non fatte niente di troppo pericoloso o stupido per ferirvi o distruggere la torre secolare.

[EN] After I noticed a number of fake log entries in some of my other caches, I decided to enforce a regular geocaching rule: Any log entry on the web without matching entry in the paper logbook will be deleted unless a good reason was provided.
