Geocache Description:

Part One of the Chesterfield County Civil War Multi-Cache, located in the remains of an old Civil War Fort

DUE TO VANDALISM, THIS CACHE HAS BEEN CHANGED TO A VIRTUAL CACHE. WE ARE SORRY TO HAVE TO DO THIS, BUT THE VANDALS HAVE LEFT US NO CHOICE.

PLEASE NOTE THAT AT THE REQUEST OF THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE, THE CACHES AT PARKERS BATTERY AND DREWRY'S BLUFF HAVE BEEN REMOVED!

This is the site of a Union Fort, built in 1864 to protect the rear of the Union lines, to prevent Confederate forces from advancing in the event the lines were captured. To get credit for this cache you must find out the common name for the artillery that was once there. E-mail this to me.
