Micro cache located at the end of a dead end road after crossing the covered bridge. Do not attempt to get to the cache site from the highway.
The Ballard road covered bridge was built in 1883 by James E. Brown. The bridge is a seven-panel Howe truss bridge over the North Branch of Caesar Creek, near the site of Lyman Ballard’s grist mill and on the property of William C. Dean.
At the time it was built, iron, concrete, and steel structures began to surpass the construction of wooden covered bridges. The bridge was placed on the National Register of Historic Places May 29,1975 and in 2016 the bridge was restored to it's current state.
Do not attempt this cache from the interstate - instead turn onto Ballard road from Old State Route 35. You will be looking for a micro cache just hanging out at the end of the road.
