Cache is a Micro with log book only. Please bring a writing implement & possibly tweezers. You do not need to leave the path to grab the cache. Coordinates are off a little, due to the thick forest and lack of reliable reception.
This is one of my family's favourite places in the Far South, so naturally the perfect place to hide our first cache. Don't forget to bring your bathers and lunch for the bbq. You can swim in the warm thermal swimming pool, fed by thermal spring water. The pool temperature is a tepid 28 degrees Celsius, give or take depending on the season. The pool is surrounded by forest and ferns with picnic tables and several bbqs in a beautiful stone shelter with an open fire that is always roaring. The cache is located shortly after the beginning of the Platypus Walk and Hot Springs Track. The walks are accessible with wheelchairs or strollers (but the cache itself cannot be reached if using a wheelchair). Entry fees do apply ($5 per adult, $2.5 per child, or $12 for 2 adults and 3 children).
