You're looking for a small lock & lock with a proud history. It used to be one of my caches at Lexington Reservoir, but I archived it this past winter when the storms came in and the water level rose by 10 feet practically overnight! It spent the rest of the winter at the bottom of the reservoir, but I was able to retrieve it recently. Imagine my joy to find that not only was it still there, tucked in securely under some rocks, but it was in perfect shape and completely dry inside! Such a tough cache deserves a nice new home.
Note that there's some poison oak in the area, but it's easily avoided at this time. Please keep your eye out for the other usual hazards. The nearest entrance is the Mockingbird Staging Area. Please respect park hours of 8:00 a.m. to sunset. Happy Hunting!!
Congrats to WERDAVE on the FTF!
