Orme View Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Southerntrekker: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not responded to recent logs I am archiving it.

The Geocache Maintenance guideline explains a CO's responsibility towards checking and maintaining the cache when problems are reported. Caches that have been archived for lack of maintenance will not be unarchived. This is explained in the Help Center.

Geocache Description:

A set of geocaches placed in the grounds of Penrhyn Castle.

The current Penrhyn castle was built between 1820 and 1833 for George Hay Dawkins Pennant. The architect was Thomas Hopper, a well-known designer.
The castle is constructed in a neo-Norman style and has formal gardens as well as beautiful parkland.
The estate came under the care of the National Trust in 1951.

The paths on the estate are mainly tarmac or gravel, but may be muddy, especially after rain. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear. Be careful as there is barbed wire near to this location. Please do not cross the fence.

This location offers spectacular views across to the Great Orme near Llandudno.
