Today is National Public Lands Day so we will be gathering at a park in Russellville, AR for a CITO Event which will also earn attending geocachers a Souvenir for their profile page from
geocaching.com. This will be an opportunity for cachers to help the park collect trash as a thank you for their generosity in supporting geocaching. Trash is unsightly, plus causes dangerous complications for wildlife, so we can reduce those risks by collecting the garbage and disposing of it properly. Our efforts will also help to beautify the park for all visitors throughout the year.
Keep Arkansas Beautiful has supplied us with some gloves, lots of trash bags, and door prizes. We would like to THANK them for their support of geocaching during our CITO events.

We will be cleaning up the two parks, one to the North of Pleasant View Road, and one to the South. The park has water front property where trash accumulates, especially after high water events, so grabbers will be helpful. There is a boat ramp available for use too. There is a paved walking trail leading South that we will also clean up, plus a Frisbee golf course.
We look forward to working with all of you as we help clean-up the park.
