The A43 is also known as the link road between the M40 and M1 motorways. RAF Croughton is situated nearby and is currently a comunications station for the United States Air Force, originally built in 1938 and still being used today. The 'Croughton Dish' and 'Golf Balls' can be seen from a distance whilst travelling past.
