Experienced cachers can stop reading now.
Fences seem to be very popular with cache owners. So many caches are hidden on or near them.
There are a lot of different types of ways to hide a cache on a fence. Magnetic caches attach to many fences, sometimes within uprights. Wire fences are a frequent haunt of bison tubes, attached to the wire.
And then there is this type of hide - the cache is attached to the fence cap.
All you have to do is find the right cap and remove it. Sometimes easier said than done as fence caps can occasionally be hard to remove. Persistence is good, but I often find gently rocking the cap helps.
The provided hint, if you are still having trouble (or are desperate for the First2Find) tells you exactly how the cache has been placed. So now you know what you're looking for, and where it is, go get it!
The cache is in Eccles Park, a surprisingly large park bounded to the south by Subiaco Creek. It is accessible from three streets - personally I'd approach the park from Spurway Street (also the suggested parking location). The 523 bus (Parramatta to West Ryde) also stops nearby this entrance. Dogs are allowed in the park but must be on leash at all times. Bring the kids - there is a playground to lose them in as well!
GPS coverage under the trees may be a problem, but the hint should get you there without any dramas. Be aware that you are visible from houses at the far side of the park, and muggles can appear without warning near GZ. After making the grab it might be a good idea to move away to complete signing duties.
As it's a micro you will need to bring your own pen / pencil - if you don't sign the log you can't claim the find (no "I forgot" or "my geodog ate it" excuses accepted). And remember as it is a bison tube replace the log in the lid so it can be easily removed by the next finder.
