Aby dać pewne wyobrażenie wspinaczom o trudności "problemu" boulderowego, stosuje się skale trudności wspinaczki boulderowej.

Centrum Wspinaczkowe Triblok to kolejny punkt, w którym można uprawiać Bouldering w Trójmieście. Centrum powstało w 2012 roku w budynku po starej i zrujnowanej kotłowni. Adaptacja pomieszczeń trwała ponad 2 lata. Obiekt ten sukcesywnie był rozbudowywany zwiększając swoją powierzchnię użytkową.

The spot
Bouldering is a form of climbing without a rope, usually on freely standing rock blocks (boulders) or in specially prepared climbing facilities.
In order to give some idea of climbers about the difficulty of a boulder problem, the difficulty scale is used.

Le bouldering est une forme d’escalade, qui est pratiquée sans cordes ni baudriers, en général sur de grands blocs rocheux ou des salles d’escalade spécialement équipées.
Afin de donner une idée de la difficulté du « problème » de bouldering au grimpeur, une échelle spécifique de cotation est utilisée.
Selon les régions, différentes échelles sont utilisées.
Par exemple, une des échelles les plus populaires en Europe, est l’échelle de bouldering de Fontainebleau, qui tient son appellation de la mythique région du même nom, au sud de Paris. Cette échelle est une adaptation de celle utilisée dans l’escalade classique, pour les besoins du bouldering.
Un autre exemple de l’adaptation d’une échelle d’escalade classique, à celle d’escalade en blocs, est l’échelle Y.D.S (Yosemite decimal scale), utilisée aux USA.
L’échelle qui est probablement la plus populaire, chez les grimpeurs du monde entiers, est celle qui a été proposée par John « Vermin » Sherman. L’échelle de cotation de Vermin ou Verm. est notée par un grand « V », suivi d’un numéro, déterminant la difficulté du problème. C’est une échelle ouverte, qui en ce moment commence à V0 jusqu’à V17.

Un des endroits où nous pouvons pratiquer le bouldering dans la Tricité, est la salle TRIBLOK à Gdynia. Cette salle a été ouverte en 2012, dans une chaufferie d’un grand immeuble résidentiel. L’adaptation a duré près de deux ans. Elle est successivement agrandie, afin d’augmenter sa superficie de grimpe.
