Geocache Description:

Hardscrabble Mtn lookout was built in 1939. It was a 40' treated timber L-4 tower at the end of Hardscrabble Ridge. It was destroyed in 1968. All that remains are the four concrete pillars and an odd wooden stand.

To get there take Rd 230, off FS Rd 58 near the Frasier Campground road. Not a long way to the lookout but it is pretty rocky. You will want a vehicle with good ground clearance. Plenty of room to turn around.

Elevation 5155'.
