Washington Lacy park is an equestrian friendly multiuse park which opened in 2008. It is a 214 acre park with walking, biking and equestrian trails. The partnership between Hanover County Parks and rec and The Friends of Washington Lacy park maintain this park. The park was donated by Dr Marsh and was then dedicated to Washington Lacy, an African American man who had a live of horses and hunting and lived nearby. There is a trail map at the kiosk.
The hike to the cache is not too long. The trails are well kept. Not well suited to wheelchairs. Two of us, equestrians, from Friends of Hanover trails now known as Friends of Washington Lacy park found the site and planted the cache. It is a first for the park. The cache container is medium size and contains some bling, a FTF and a trackable.
