The above coordinates are for the trailhead. We've made this an offset cache due to poor GPS reception in the area. If you use your GPS as a compass, be sure it is set to operate in Magnetic Direction Mode.
From the trailhead, follow the trail to within 20 feet of the scenic attraction. Here you will find a rock approximately 5 feet by 8 feet that you can stand on. (This should be obvious.) The cache is located 54 feet distant at a bearing of 160° (S20°E)(magnetic). The 5 by 8 rock may not be accessible at all times of the year. If you can't reach it, you may need to employ the use of a 'back-bearing' to determine the cache location.
** IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO REMOVE ALL THE CACHE-HIDING MATERIAL TO RETRIEVE THIS! PLEASE JUST REMOVE A COUPLE SMALL PIECES AND REHIDE IT AS YOU FOUND IT. THIS CACHE IS ROUTINELY FOUND UNCOVERED AND THE MATERIAL THAT NORMALLY HIDES IT SCATTERED ACROSS THE ENTIRE AREA. IT'S A MIRACLE IT HASN'T BEEN STOLEN. THANKS! **
See the first page of the log book for an explanation of the cache name. Happy caching!
