Pohodno tekaška pot Svibnik – Jelševnik je nastala iz dolgoletne želje vaščanov Svibnika, da bi imeli svojo trim stezo. Tako je leta 2013 nastala označena krožna pot, dolga 4,6 km.
Izhodišče poti je pred trgovino na Svibniku kjer je v bližini tudi parkirišče (P1). Namen peščene površine ni označen, a je v lasti trgovine in se uporablja kot parkirišče. Drugo primerno parkirišče je pri informativni tabli (P2). Na najbolj oddaljeni točki poti boste našli izletniško kmetijo. Še malce dje pa ob izviru Jelševniščice stoji naravni habitat črnega močerila ali črne človeške ribice iz Bele krajine. Več o njem in o možnosti predstavitve si lahko preberete na povezavi:

Pot ni označena z navadnimi markacijami, temveč s smerokazi in rumenimi simboli rib, ki so obrnjene v smer pohoda. Večinoma poteka po gozdu, en del pa po poljih, kjer zna biti poleti precej vroče. Zakladki so postavljeni le po gozdnem delu.

The making of Svibnik - Jelševnik trail originated from the long-standing desire of the Svibnik villagers to have their own ‘trim’ track. Thus, in 2013, a marked roundabout was formed, 4.6 km long.
The starting point is the cafeteria and grocery shop, together with its outer terrace behind it. The most suitable car park is across the street from the shop (P1). The purpose of the sand surface is not marked, but it is owned by the shop and is used as parking space. Another suitable car park is at the information board (P2). At the farthest point of the trail, you will find an excursion farm. A little bit further at the spring of the stream Jelševniščica stands a natural habitat of black olm or black human fish from Bela Krajina. The path is not marked with ordinary markings, but with signs and yellow symbols of fish that are pointing in the direction of the hike. Mostly it takes place in the woods, and partially on the fields, where it can be quite hot in the Summer. The caches are placed only in the forest part.
