The cemetery entrance road is marked as a parking waypoint. Navigating through this cemetery by car can be tricky as the roads are narrow and there are some one way signs. Walking would be a better strategy.
One of the cool things I discovered while exploring this cemetery is three new grave markers I had not seen before! I was quite amazed to stumble upon three of them all in the same cemetery.
All of the stops on the tour are things that I found to be the most interesting. While you are here, pay your respects to those who have left us and as always absolutely no night caching.
There are 14 waypoints you will be visiting. The coordinates for the waypoints are listed in the waypoint section. At each stop, you will collect information which will be used to calculate the coordinates to the final cache-an ammo box.
Enjoy the tour!!
Letter A: Eternal Canopy
This family will enjoy eternal rest in the shade. There are columns and stone pots decorating the grave.
A=Columns MINUS stone pots
Letter B: Animal Caretaker
A statue in the cemetery for a woman who cared for animals. I found this fascinating as it looks like an elaborate headstone, but there was no information on the statue about the woman. I wonder who she was? On the statue there are decorative winged cherubs.
B=Number of cherubs on the statue
Letter C: Liberty
The first of the new grave markers that I discovered. If you look around this section, you will see others like it. Look at the headstone for Johannes and find the Company (CO) that he served in.

A flat headstone for Franklin who survived something horrible. What was he a survivor of?

A headstone for a man who felt a higher calling. There is a special plaque on his headstone commemorating his profession.

A group of headstones for a family that fought against British tyranny. The headstone outlined in chalk is particularly interesting. This headstone is for Philip and is the only one that has English translation.

Letter I: For Texas!!
The second of the new grave markers that I discovered. Here is a man who fought in the war to protect the new state of Texas after it entered the Union. Look at his age of death.
I=First digit in the number of days
Letter J: Manifest Destiny?
The third and final of the new grave markers that I discovered. From reading about it, this one seems to be especially rare. Here is a man who fought in the wars for expanse of territory. Look at his Regiment (Regt.)

An impressive tomb for a man and woman. Around the top of the tomb, there is Bible scripture.
