Geocache Description:

The St. Louis Zoo has been voted the nations best zoo the past 2 years (2017 and 2018) and in 2016 was voted the top free attraction in America.

Most of us in Missouri realize the great attraction that we have but others on vacation or traveling through St. Louis may not be aware of it.

The Zoo is open year around except for major holidays. Admission is free as are most attractions and exhibits except for some of the shows, train ride, and Childrens zoo.

There are parking lots close by which cost, but parking throughout on the park roads are free, but expect a good walk unless you get there early.

Even though there are some areas that charge, it is easy for a family to spend the day here without spending anything and just enjoying the animals and exhibits.

Follow this link (www.stlzoo.org) for details, prices, and hours of the Zoo.

To clain this virtual, the above coordinates will take you about 75 feet from the south entrance of the Zoo. At this point you will be at the front of the sign above. From this spot you will see two bronze sculptures of 2 different animal species made by Kent Ullberg.

Email me the names of the animals described on the name plaques.

Feel free to upload pictures of your visit at the Zoo. Of course no pictures of the two above mentioned sculptures.
