In 2007 The George Kaiser Family Foundation purchased a crumbling warehouse and cracked parking lot that housed tractor trailers on the square block between Brady & Cameron and Boston Avenue & MLK Blvd. On September 7, 2012, the Guthrie Green, an urban park emerged bringing new life and entertainment space to the Brady Arts District. Guthrie Green was transformed into a downtown oasis that hosts a variety of events, concerts, movies, and fitness classes, all free and open to the public.
To the south you'll find a museum featuring the archives of one of Oklahoma's most famous sons, focusing on him and the power of the creative process; the Philbrook Museum's downtown annex, focusing on the museum's modern and Native American art collections; and the University of Tulsa's Henry Zarrow Center for Art & Education, all of which opened a year later in 2013. All three occupy the renovated former Tulsa Paper Co. Building, built in 1922.
To log this cache you will need to travel to the coordinates and bring a piece of paper and something to write with:
1) Once you arrive look up at the famous musician you see here and find 4 words; 2 words that share the name of this cache and two more words below it.
2) In the spirit of creativity, on your piece of paper write 2 words (and ONLY 2 words) that you think "This Machine" also does. Feel free to include your own personal artwork or flair.
3) Take a creative photo of the piece of paper in a way that is clear you are at the correct spot. Feel free to put yourself in the photo too if you want.
4) Log your find and upload the photo to your log.
5) You do not need to message or email me. Your answer should be in a photo in the log. Failure to play by the rules means your log gets deleted. Remember ONLY 2 words and, you MUST be at this spot NO PHOTO? NO LOG. Sorry those are the rules.
Feel free to enjoy the park and take in one of the many free activities that happen here. Please also upload any other fun photos from the area you'd like to use as proof you were actually there.
If your photo at the spot looks suspect, (like you used google maps and photoshopped in a sign) I will delete your log. If you log and do not include a photo, I will also delete your log. No armchair caching please.
