This spot has been a favorite for my whole Geo-tribe since we moved here. Any time we're strolling River St. my Geo-Hostages insist on stopping and hearing this "acoustical anomaly". Sometimes some muggles will be sitting inside nearby and give us funny looks. We explain this neat phenomenon and they try it and are so excited to take this special little piece of Savannah home with them that they otherwise would have never discovered.
There used to be a Virtual here but it was unfortunately archived. I've always thought it was the perfect place for one and am excited to make it one again with the prestigious gift of being able to create a new Virtual with the 2017 Virtual Rewards.

Rousakis Plaza Echo Square
In the middle of historic Savannah, Georgia’s Rousakis Plaza is an open square with nondescript brick planters surrounding an X created by the cement pavers, and a mysterious echo created by the plaza’s unique acoustics.
The structure of the plaza’s surrounding buildings has created an acoustic anomaly wherein the small patch of pavement fenced by the planters acts as a focused “echo chamber.” If you stand in the center of the X and speak, there is an unusual and very noticeable echo which cannot be heard by anyone immediately outside the square.
It is not clear if the plaza’s designers intentionally created this effect or if it is just a lucky byproduct of the area’s unique set-up, but given the clear X that’s built into pavement, it seems likely that the echoes are no mistake.

2. Post a picture of yourself, your Geo-tribe and any muggles you may have converted with your "Found It" Log.
